Ovalo GmbH is a 100% subsidiary of Harmonic Drive AG and was established in 2006. The company develops and industrialises customer specific gears and mechatronical gear systems for use in large scale applications. Over the years we have received many inquiries showing an increased demand for precision gears in large-scale quantities and conditions. Accordingly, the development of suitable products became part of our strategic targets and has now been realised successfully. By a consequent "design to cost" starting in the area of raw part manufacture and process development, the industrialisation could be efficiently organised by using special production methods.
Ovalo gears are based on the million fold approved Harmonic Drive principle of operation. Analogue to Harmonic Drive gears, the flexible and endurable steel components are used to manufacture a compact precision gear with high reduction ratios. Ovalo gears are only available according to the customer's specific demands to optimally meet the requirements on highest flexibility, integration and cost minimisation. Amongst others, componenets are developed with hollow shaft or customer specific gear motors.
Ovalo GmbH combines the experiences and precision application know how of Harmonic Drive AG with the large scale production know how. For project planning we may offer you our proposed solutions for complex inquiries. We would be pleased to propose concepts to realise cost effective precision in larges scale production. The main attention is always focused on the product quality.
Due to the continuously increasing security and comfort requirements there is, for example, in the automotive industry a great demand on precision gears and actuators. The realisation of new "x-by-wire technology" requires the use of reliable precision gears. As an example we could offer active heterodyne steering systems as well as active anti-roll bars. These technologies have already been used successfully in series-production vehicles. In parallel to the demands of the automotive industry Ovalo gears are also used for consumer products, building services and further markets with large-scale production.
